Hungarian Layered Biscuit Cake with Vanilla Cream & Chocolate Glaze
Ingredients:
For the layers:
- 500 g tea biscuits (or graham crackers)
For the vanilla cream:
- 1 L milk
- 2 packs vanilla pudding powder (80 g total)
- 150 g sugar
- 200 g butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the chocolate glaze:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
Instructions:
- Cook the vanilla pudding with the milk and sugar until thick. Let it cool slightly.
- Beat the butter until creamy, then mix it into the cooled pudding with the vanilla.
- Arrange one layer of biscuits in a rectangular pan.
- Spread a layer of vanilla cream over the biscuits.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with biscuits on top.
- Melt the chocolate with the oil or butter and pour it over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
