Hungarian Chicken Paprikash
Ingredients:
- 700 g chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 250 ml chicken broth
- 150 ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt and black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Heat the oil and cook the onions until soft. Add the garlic.
- Stir in the paprika, then add the chicken and brown it lightly.
- Add the peppers, tomatoes, broth, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 40–45 minutes until the chicken is tender.
- Mix the sour cream with the flour and stir it into the sauce.
- Cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with noodles, dumplings, or rice.
