📝 Ingredients
- 500g beef (cut into cubes)
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Hungarian paprika 🌶️
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 2 carrots (sliced)
- 2 potatoes (cubed)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 1 green pepper (chopped)
- 1 liter beef broth (or water)
- Salt and pepper to taste

1. Sauté the base:
- Heat oil in a pot, add onions and cook until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
2. Add paprika & meat:
- Remove from heat briefly, stir in paprika (important to avoid burning).
- Add beef cubes and mix well.
3. Simmer:
- Add broth, caraway seeds, tomato, and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 45–60 minutes until meat is tender.
4. Add vegetables:
- Add carrots and potatoes.
- Cook another 20–25 minutes until vegetables are soft.
5. Final seasoning:
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
🍞 Serving
- Serve hot, optionally in a bread bowl like in your image
- Pair with lángos (fried dough with cheese) or fresh bread
